Idea Hackathon – Women Empowerment and Digital Inclusion Programme

As a unique collaboration for women's empowerment and digital inclusion, the Idea Hackathon event, in partnership with HSBC, was successfully held on November 29, 2024, at Hatch Works, Colombo 02. This event served as a platform for women to showcase their business progress based on the knowledge, they gained from the beneficiary training sessions conducted between March and June 2024 across five provinces: Northern, Eastern, Western, Southern, and North Western.

On the event day, 50 participants presented their innovative business ideas, highlighting their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. As recognition for their efforts, the top four participants from each province will be selected to receive seed funding to support and grow their businesses.

This event marked a significant milestone in empowering women entrepreneurs and promoting digital inclusion throughout Sri Lanka. The partnership between Sarvodaya Fusion Ltd. and HSBC demonstrates a strong commitment to creating opportunities for women's success and growth in the digital era.
